Geo. Gradel Co’s. initial focus when the company was founded in 1903 was in earthmoving and grading land in preparation for building construction, expertise that continues today. In the process, the company completed site preparation work for some of Toledo’s most iconic buildings.

Our building sitework begins with clearing the property and usually ends with us completing the grading and elevation of the first floor. For our highway projects, we have the capability of either handling the site preparation work or serving as the prime contractor and sub-contracting out the pavement portion of the project.
We also have served as the prime contractor on entire building and pavement projects. Among them is North Bass Island Airport, which we took from undeveloped land to a completed airport.
We own most of our own equipment and our inventory is extensive. This means we start our projects on time because we don’t have to search for hard-to-find equipment to lease. Equipment ownership also allows us to offer cost savings to our customers.
